Student Projects

The research group Applied Mathematics and Machine Learning offers student research positions for projects in applied mathematics and data science, see the

list of currently open projects
for possible topics.

Funding. Generically, we offer funding in form of a 20 hours/week employment for 6 months (7 salaries with €1350 per salary) but, depending on the project scope, alternative options are also possible.

Study background. The projects can be independent of your study program, or can be connected, for example, to:

Prerequisites. Generally, prerequisites are a solid knowledge in applied mathematics or computer science; see the project descriptions for project-specific prerequisites.

Application. To apply, please send a short letter of motivation (in particular indicating your projects of interest), a CV and a transcript of records to the contact below.

Deadlines. Applications are possible throughout the semester, but there are regular deadlines once per semester after which positions are filled subject to availability.
